There ar no additional fees for bus transportation. The cost for bus transportation is included in your tuition fee.
Halton Hills Christian School buses are operated by LaidLaw Transportation and we have 4 bus routes covering Georgetown, Milton, Acton, Erin, Rockwood and Glen Williams.
Each family is assigned to a bus stop on an existing bus route. We are not able to offer door to door transportation, so you may have to meet the bus on its route.
A “buddy system” is in place for our Preschool and Kindergarten students who are new to riding the bus. These students are paired up with a senior student for the entire year (if required).
Bus routes are set and reviewed every year to ensure that bus stops are the most cost effective, while always keeping in mind safety and the amount of time your child is on the bus.

Questions
1. What happens if there is inclement weather? The bus company (Laidlaw Transportation Ltd.) calls the Transportation Co-ordinator if weather/road conditions are such that no bus will be running. The co-ordinator activates a telephone chain (produced annually in October), and all parents are thereby notified that the school will be closed. School closures will also be announced on CFRB (1010).
2. What if I want to pick up my children at the end of the school day or they want to go home with a friend? Students waiting for cars after school must wait by the flagpole. Cars should be parked in the church parking lot and parents should walk to the flagpole to pick up their children. If a student is to go to a place other than their home or the usual bus stop, a written note must be brought in. Without notes, students will go on the bus as usual.
